The Entrepreneurial Leadership Studies program (ELS) offers an innovative curriculum and programming that aims to deepen your knowledge of core business concepts and provides a wealth of hands-on experiences to put this knowledge into practice in the real world.

The Entrepreneurial Leadership Studies Program (ELS) is the locus of entrepreneurial activity at Tufts University.



Undergraduate Courses in Entrepreneurship / Minor in Entrepreneurship

Through this highly customized program, you can select individual classes as electives or structure a minor tailored to your specific goals. The ELS courses are open to students from all schools and majors. The Entrepreneurial Leadership Minor is the largest and statistically highest ranked minor at Tufts.

Graduate Courses in Entrepreneurship
All ELS 100 level courses are open to graduate students. 
In addition, the Entrepreneurial Leadership Studies Program offers ELS 101.03- High Tech Entrepreneurship geared toward graduate-level students across the university.
New in spring of 2017, ELS is launching NUTR0280 – Nutrition and Entrepreneurship in partnership with Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy.

Tufts Ideas Competition
The Tufts Ideas Competition is designed for early stage business ideas. Winners will receive a $1,000 cash prize and mentorship. Open to Tufts students, faculty and staff, the competition provides individuals with validation and support for a business idea.

Tufts $100k New Ventures Competition
The Tufts $100k New Ventures Competition is a university-wide event that attracts entries from alumni, faculty, undergraduate, and graduate students from all colleges across the university and has been profiled by Forbes as among the best university-sponsored entrepreneurship competitions. Tracks: Social Impact, High Tech/General, and Life Science/Medical 

Entrepreneurial Lectures
The ELS program also hosts the Alan Shapiro Entrepreneurial Lecture featuring distinguished entrepreneurs and prominent alumni.
